My fellow retirees and pensioners:

The AMRRC Organization is on a fast pace. Our group came together in January and in a short time we have:

  • Formed a non-profit corporation for the purpose of protecting American Airlines retiree health care and pension benefits in   bankruptcy and elected your officers and a board of directors.
  • Hired superior legal counsel and who has prepared a filing to represent American Airlines retirees as a Section 1114 committee in bankruptcy court. We are scheduled to attend a court hearing next week.
  • Recognized that what we seek to protect requires immediate action to seek support and protection by lobbying Congress; therefore we joined the only national legislative lobby organization, the NRLN, which specializes in lobbying for legislation that protects retiree health care and income benefits.
