Changes to the Election Process and Guidelines for Voting
We have completed a survey of eligible voters to determine the number of positions each participant will be eligible to vote on in this election process and it was determined that the majority of respondents wanted to vote on 1 candidate per department or the vote for five candidates. The original intent was to have only the people that signed up to join the mailing list as eligible to vote in order to make sure that only American Retirees voted and we could control the duplications. Unfortunately, we have some issues with some that signed up to be on the mailing list that did not receive a questionnaire on the number of Candidates to vote on during the first step of the process, therefore, we are going to open the process up on the website and allow people to vote. With that in mind, and in an effort to insure we have a fair cross section of representation on the Board of the AMRRC organization as it is being formed, we have established 5 groups for the purposes of voting in the election of Board members. It will be important in the eyes of the court that this Board be representative of the majority of Retirees for our Voice to be heard during the bankruptcy process. The 5 work groups are:
Ticket Counter, Gates, & Ramp Aircraft Mechanics Flight Attendants
Finance, Marketing & Management Reservations
**Pilots have already established a committee to represent the Retired Pilot group
To participate in this election, you will need to click on the link below and select only 1 Candidate from each workgroup, as your choice to serve on the AMRRC Board. If you vote for more than 1 person in each category, your votes will not be counted. You can click on each candidate to view their Resume prior to voting.
